Erie Shores Humane Society is a grass roots, non profit animal welfare
organization. We have been helping animals in need for 24 years. We follow the humane no
kill philosophy and are dedicated to the present and future well-being
of all animals. We believe now is the time for people to take an active
part in solving the deplorable problems involving animals we see around
us. We want to educate people about awareness and the responsibility of
pet ownership. We are people in the community who care and are an all
volunteer organization. Every penny of the proceeds of our fund raising
efforts benefits the animals.
Sincerely,
The
Erie Shores Board of Directors

TAZ

Black Labrador Retriever, Chow Chow [Mix]
Size: Medium
Age: 2-3 Yrs.
Sex: Male
ID: Taz
Taz was turned into the Dog Pound by his
owner.Very sad and all too familiar cases of throw away dogs. Taz
was just your average black dog so I knew it would be tough for
him to get out and I didn't want to see him die. I believe Taz is
a mix of black lab/chow. He is a nice sized dog @ about 50 lbs and
is about 2 1/2 years old. Taz has been neutered, his vaccines are
UTD and he has been HW tested negative. He is currently in a
foster home and is good with other dogs, good with cats and is
housetrained. Taz also listens well off leash. His foster mom is
reporting that he is becoming a very sweet dog now that he is
settling in. If interested in making his story a happy ending,
please call Peggy @ 440-365-7516 or 440-452-1619.
UPDATE: Taz has developed into a very nice
dog and is the ambassador for homeless dogs at various schools
where volunteers are teaching the kids kindness to animals and
how pets are not throw away material things, but are lives.

FOSTER CARE NEEDED
You can be the reason ESHS continues its
rescue efforts. We are desperately in need of compassionate animal
lovers who want to make a difference, you see, when ESHS runs out of
room at its foster families, it all to often must suspend rescue
efforts until the companion animals in our care are adopted. Erie
Shores promotes the concept of rescued companion animals living in a
home enviroment to gain much needed socialization skills for rehoming.
Foster families only need to provide the love these animals have gone
without. All needed medical, spay/neutering, yearly vaccines and
grooming expenses are covered by ESHS.
Please won't you
open your heart and home to a deserving animal?
Erie Shores Humane Society needs foster or
permanent homes for many animals please help.

A Prayer for Animals
Hear our
humble prayer, O God for our friends the animals, especially for those
animals that are suffering; for all that are overworked and underfed,
for those that are cruelly treated; for all the wistful creatures in
captivity that beat against the bars of their cages;
for any
that are lost or hunted, deserted or frightened; for all that are in
pain or dying;
for all
that must be put to death. We ask that you fill the hearts of those who
handle animals with compassion, and that you give them gentle hands, and
put kind words into their mouths, so that all your creatures might share
in your most abundant mercies.
